Vacancies. The following provisions shall apply to the following separately elected positions: Assessor, County Clerk, Sheriff, and Treasurer (hereafter also referred to as “County Office” or “County Officer”): (a) Committee of same political party to appoint. In the event of a vacancy, such vacancy shall be filled to no longer than the end of the unexpired term as dictated by this Section by appointment.
