ORLANDO RIVAS, IN MEMORIAM 

WHEREAS, Orlando Rivas lived a life of dedicated service to the community he loved; and 

WHEREAS, Orlando Rivas began his service in 1995 as an employee of the Cook County Juvenile Probation Department (JPD); and 

WHEREAS, during his tenure as a Juvenile Probation Department Officer, he devoted his career to supporting and guiding court-involved youth toward positive outcomes; and 

WHEREAS, Orlando Rivas was a beloved member of JPD known for his commitment to meaningfully impacting the lives of court-involved youth; and 

WHEREAS, Orlando Rivas served the residents of Cook County with distinction for 30 years, retiring from JPD in October 2025; and 

WHEREAS, Orlando Rivas left behind a legacy of service, professionalism, and commitment to the youth and families of Cook County; and 

WHEREAS, following his retirement, Orlando Rivas continued his service to the community as a security officer at Buffalo Grove High School; and
