WHEREAS, the Carole Robertson Center for Learning was founded in 1976 when community members on Chicago’s West Side came together to save a beloved after-school program that served as a vital resource for children and working families; and

WHEREAS, this community-led effort gave rise to the Carole Robertson Center for Learning, an organization rooted in a mission to educate, enrich, and empower children and families, a commitment that continues to guide its work today; and

WHEREAS, for fifty years, the Carole Robertson Center for Learning has served as an anchor in the community by providing high-quality early childhood education and youth development programs that support children and families in reaching their full potential; and
