HONORING DR. LÁZARO LÓPEZ AS HE CONCLUDES HIS DISTINGUISHED SERVICE WITH HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT 214 AND RECOGNIZING HIS CONTRIBUTIONS TO PUBLIC EDUCATION, COLLEGE AND CAREER READINESS, AND WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT 

WHEREAS, Dr. Lázaro López concludes his distinguished service with High School District 214 after a career that has shaped public education, college and career readiness, and opportunity for thousands of students in northwest Cook County and across Illinois; and 

WHEREAS, Dr. López’s life and career reflect the promise of public education, community college access, military service, and hard work, having served in the United States Army, begun his postsecondary journey at College of DuPage, and gone on to earn degrees from Illinois State University, Roosevelt University, and Aurora University; and
