Bartholomew faithfully served the Chicago Police Department for 10 years and 11 months; and WHEREAS, Officer Bartholomew’s life was tragically taken in the line of duty on Saturday, April 25, 2026; and WHEREAS, Officer Bartholomew was born in Evanston, IL on April 21, 1988 to George and Kiki Bartholomew, nee Kutulas. He was the devoted grandson of the late James and Patricia Bartholomew and the late Rev. Fr. John and Presbytera Angie Kutulas. John was the dear brother of James Bartholomew and Paula (Jonathan) Mueller. He also is also survived by many in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues; and WHEREAS, he is survived by his beloved wife, Renee Bartholomew (nee Limbers), and his three children, Oliver Buffurine, Miles Buffurine, and Sophia Bartholomew.
