Title: PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDMENT AN AMENDMENT TO THE RULES OF ORGANIZATION AND PROCEDURE BE IT ORDAINED, by the Cook County Board of Commissioners, that Part 1 - General Ordinances, Chapter 2 - Administration, Article IIII - County Board, Division 2. - Rules of Organization and Procedure, Section 2-105(l). - Organization. of the Cook County Code is hereby amended as follows: … (L) Approval of Journal of Proceedings. Effective January 1, 2011, in accordance with Public Act 96-1473, the Journal of Proceedings shall be approved within the time allowed by the law. To achieve this requirement of the law, the following procedures shall be followed: (1) Commissioners shall file a statement of their “nay” and “present” votes with the Clerk, for items before the Board, or with the Secretary, for items in Committee within 24 hours of the end of a Meeting. For items approved pursuant to a voice vote, a member may record a vote of “present” or “no” for a particular resolution by filing a notice with the Clerk to be included in the Journal of Proceedings within twenty-four hours of the end
