ACCEPTANCE OF DONATION TO COOK COUNTY

WHEREAS, Microsoft Corporation, located in Redmond, Washington, desires to donate $339,600.00 in funding from its End Customer Investment Funds (ECIF) program for the benefit of Cook County for use by the Cook County Bureau of Technology; and

WHEREAS, SHI International Corp. (SHI) is a current County vendor who is able to provide providing software development services to BOT, and upon County acceptance of funding, Microsoft will pay SHI up to $339,600.00 for software development for the benefit of the Cook County Bureau of Technology; and

WHEREAS, the donated funds will be held by Microsoft and paid directly to SHI and no funds will be transferred to, or administered by, Cook County nor the Cook County Bureau of Technology; and

WHEREAS, the Cook County Bureau of Technology adheres to the principles of sound investment in technology made in the best interest of the citizens of Cook County, and effective, efficient and responsible use of budgetary resources.
