Viverito has dedicated more than five decades of his life to public service, leadership, and advocacy on behalf of the residents of Cook County and the State of Illinois; and WHEREAS, Louis S. Viverito honorably served in the United States Army during the Korean War and is a three-time decorated veteran; and WHEREAS, Mr. Viverito began his public service career in 1969 as Stickney Township Democratic Committeeman and was elected Supervisor of Stickney Township in 1973, a position he held for more than fifty years; and WHEREAS, Louis S. Viverito, since 1973, was the Township Supervisor and President of the Stickney Township Public Health District, he worked tirelessly to expand access to healthcare, senior services, youth programs, transportation services, and community resources for residents throughout the southwest suburban region of Cook County; and WHEREAS, from 1980 to 1986, Louis S.
