RESOLUTION HONORING THE LIFE OF JULIA MAE HUDSON MONTGOMERY

WHEREAS, Julia Mae Hudson Montgomery migrated to Chicago, IL along with family from Canton Mississippi. She attended Chicago Public Schools. Julia graduated from the prestigious Dunbar Vocational High School  
in 1957 as a cosmetologist, after premier training in Beauty Culture; and

WHEREAS, ,Her entrepreneur spirit and her inherent culinary ability brought about her catering business, "Taste N See" Catering Service. Her business allowed Julia's catering to serve great people in the Chicago Community such as, the Late Dr. Herbert D. Odom, Rev. Jessie Lewis Jackson, and 
Alvin J. Boutte, CEO of Independence Bank; and

WHEREAS, ,Julia's service to her Almighty God was almost always through helping others. She served at the Pleasant Gift M.B. Church for over 50 years, organized by her Maternal Grandfather Rev. Clarence L. Buckner.
