Summary:  While the original contract included in its scope the renovation of the 7th and 11th floors of 118 N. Clark, as well as redevelopment activities at Oak Forest, this Third Amendment focuses specifically on the redevelopment of the Oak Forest Campus by augmenting the existing scope to include pre-development elements that are supported by information and feedback derived from the master planning and community engagement processes; additionally, it focuses on advancing and implementing the County’s near-term development projects and completing essential pre-development tasks that strengthen the development's attractiveness and viability; furthermore, it expands outreach to reputable developers and industry partners that support planned multi-phased, mixed-use redevelopment.

The total amount of the original contract was $4,992,609.09, of which the Oak Forest redevelopment scope represented $792,713.24 or 16%.  Regarding the Oak Forest Campus redevelopment, there have been two (2) amendments that have since been approved by the board, representing a $532,025.00 increase over the original contract amount. The remaining contract authority amount preceding this amendment was earmarked solely for the restack project at 118 N. Clark.

This contract was awarded through Request for Qualifications (RFQ) procedures in accordance with Cook County Procurement Code.  FGM Architects was selected based on established evaluation criteria.
