Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION APPROVAL OF A PREVAILING WAGE INCREASES BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF COOK AND THE COALITION OF UNIOIZED PUBLIC EMPLOYEES (COUPE) WHEREAS, the Illinois Public Employee Labor Relations Act (5 ILCS 315/1 et5 seq.) has established regulations regarding collective bargaining with a union; and WHEREAS, the County is obligated to pay the prevailing rate for these categories of employees pursuant to the state statute, 820 ILCS 130 et.seq., and the collective bargaining agreement between the County of Cook and the Coalition of Unionized Public Employees (COUPE), representing Boilermaker/Blacksmith, Boilermaker/Welder, Plaster, Architectural Iron Worker Foreman; and Sign Painter; and WHEREAS, the union representing this category of employees has been properly certified that the below-listed rates are the prevailing rates for the effective date(s) set forth herein; and WHEREAS, the Annual Appropriation Bill creates Accounts 490-115, 499-115 and 899-115 for Appropriation Adjust...

APPROVAL OF A PREVAILING WAGE INCREASES BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF COOK AND THE COALITION OF UNIOIZED PUBLIC EMPLOYEES (COUPE)

 

WHEREAS, the Illinois Public Employee Labor Relations Act (5 ILCS 315/1 et5 seq.) has established regulations regarding collective bargaining with a union; and

 

WHEREAS, the County is obligated to pay the prevailing rate for these categories of employees pursuant to the state statute, 820 ILCS 130 et.seq., and the collective bargaining agreement between the County of Cook and the Coalition of Unionized Public Employees (COUPE), representing Boilermaker/Blacksmith, Boilermaker/Welder, Plaster, Architectural Iron Worker Foreman; and Sign Painter; and

 

WHEREAS, the union representing this category of employees has been properly certified that the below-listed rates are the prevailing rates for the effective date(s) set forth herein; and

 

WHEREAS, the Annual Appropriation Bill creates Accounts 490-115, 499-115 and 899-115 for Appropriation Adjustments for the Corporate, Public Safety and Health Funds if necessary; and

 

WHEREAS, prevailing wages and salaries of the following positions shall be fixed as follows:
