Summary: Requesting authorization for the Chief Procurement Officer to renew and increase the contract with The Network Advocating Against Domestic Violence (“Network”) which provides advocacy support for the court’s after-hours pilot program. The Network monitors the after-hour advocacy services provided to the court and operates the Illinois Domestic Violence Hotline and employs hotline staff 24/7. Additionally, Network operates the Centralized Training Institute (“CTI”) which provides comprehensive legal advocacy training to its members as well as to outside organizations, including OCJ staff in the Domestic Violence Division. Network is an organization of 40+ domestic violence organizations and is very well informed of the interests and capabilities of its member organizations.
The original contract was a Sole Source Procurement pursuant to Section 34-139 of the Cook County Procurement Code.
