Summary: The Department of Transportation and Highways respectfully requests approval of the proposed Contract Amendment between the County and BLA, Inc., Itasca, Illinois.
This contract provides for construction management services in accordance with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) requirements. The Services include oversight in construction supervision, inspection and documentation in pre-construction, construction and post-construction phases. The Consultant will provide qualified individuals who will work under the direction and guidance of the Department’s Bureau of Construction in various roles.
This amendment accounts for additional professional services needed for the extended duration of the Old Orchard Road construction project, additional efforts needed to resolve different site conditions, and additional coordination with Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) and the Village of Skokie.
This contract was awarded pursuant to a publicly advertised Request for Qualifications (RFQ) in accordance with Cook County Procurement Code. BLA, Inc. was selected based on established evaluation criteria.
