Summary: The Department of Transportation and Highways respectfully requests approval of the proposed Amendment between the County and GFT Infrastructure, Inc., Chicago, Illinois (formerly TranSystems Corporation, Schaumburg, Illinois).
This contract provides construction management services in accordance with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) requirements. The Services include oversight in construction supervision, inspection and documentation in pre-construction, construction and post construction phases. The Consultant will provide qualified individuals who will work under the direction and guidance of the Department’s Bureau of Construction in various roles.
The amendment accounts for professional services needed associated with the extended duration of the County Line Road South construction project, additional redesign efforts needed to resolve project issues, and finally for the contract to be changed from TranSystems Corporation to GFT Infrastructure, Inc. which recently purchased TranSystems Corporation.
This contract was awarded pursuant to a publicly advertised Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process in accordance with Cook County Procurement Code. GFT Infrastructure, Inc., Chicago, Illinois (formerly TranSystems Corporation, Schaumburg, Illinois) was selected based on established evaluation criteria.
