Bednarkiewicz dedicated her life to serving others, driven by a deep love for her neighborhood; and WHEREAS, Agnes F. Bednarkiewicz served as the president of the McKinley Park Civic Association for 21 years, from 2004 to 2025; and WHEREAS, Agnes F. Bednarkiewicz, as president of the McKinley Park Civic Association, was a fierce advocate for her neighbors, working tirelessly to uplift, strengthen, and preserve the spirit of the community she cherished; and WHEREAS, Agnes F. HONORING THE LIFE AND LEGACY OF AGNES F. BEDNARKIEWICZ

 

WHEREAS, Agnes F. Bednarkiewicz was born on August 31, 1946; and

 

WHEREAS, Agnes F. Bednarkiewicz was the daughter of Joseph and Frances (nee Olszewski), growing up with the values of hard work, faith, and a commitment to community; and

 

WHEREAS, Agnes F. Bednarkiewicz dedicated her life to serving others, driven by a deep love for her neighborhood; and

 

WHEREAS, Agnes F. Bednarkiewicz served as the president of the McKinley Park Civic Association for 21 years, from 2004 to 2025; and

 

WHEREAS, Agnes F. Bednarkiewicz, as president of the McKinley Park Civic Association, was a fierce advocate for her neighbors, working tirelessly to uplift, strengthen, and preserve the spirit of the community she cherished; and

 

WHEREAS, Agnes F. Bednarkiewicz was a devoted parishioner of St. Mary of Perpetual Help Church, where her faith provided solace and strength and guided her in service to others; and

 

WHEREAS, Agnes F. Bednarkiewicz embraced life with joy, finding happiness in playing bingo, cherishing her love for animals, and enjoying the peace of her vacation home; and

 

WHEREAS, Agnes F. Bednarkiewicz had an adventurous spirit, always eager to explore new restaurants and experience the world through good food and good company; and

 

WHEREAS, Agnes F. Bednarkiewicz passed away on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving behind a profound legacy of love, service, and community that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cook County Board of Commissioners do hereby hold in reverence in honor of the historic legacy of Agnes F. Bednarkiewicz as we offer our heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Agnes F. Bednarkiewicz as an honorable expression of appreciation for her life and work.
