Summary: The Bureau of Technology (BOT) requests approval of an extension to an existing intergovernmental agreement with the Board of Trustees of Northern Illinois University (NIU). The County has previously received critical assistance from NIU under a prior agreement that facilitated the expansion of the County’s broadband footprint and Wide Area Network. Extending the current agreement will ensure the County will be able to receive these beneficial services through 2022.
