Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING WENDELL PHILLIPS ACADEMY HIGH SCHOOL ON WINNING THE IHSA CLASS 5A CHAMPIONSHIP WHEREAS, Wendell Phillips Academy High School has a long history of service to the Bronzeville community; and WHEREAS, in 2015, Wendell Phillips Academy's football team, the Wildcats, became the first Chicago Public School high school to win a State championship in football; and WHEREAS, on November 25, 2017, Wendell Phillips Academy High School football team won the IHSA Class 5A championship with a perfect season (14-0); and WHEREAS, under Coach Troy McAllister, the team continues the time-honored tradition of sportsmanship and integrity; and WHEREAS, the Wildcats are role models for fellow students and the community; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the President and the Cook County Board of Commissioners, on behalf of the residents of Cook County, congratulate Wendell Phillips Academy High School football team on their championship; and BE IT FURTHER R...

CONGRATULATING WENDELL PHILLIPS ACADEMY HIGH SCHOOL ON WINNING THE IHSA CLASS 5A CHAMPIONSHIP

 

WHEREAS, Wendell Phillips Academy High School has a long history of service to the Bronzeville community; and

 

WHEREAS, in 2015, Wendell Phillips Academy’s football team, the Wildcats, became the first Chicago Public School high school to win a State championship in football; and 

 

WHEREAS, on November 25, 2017, Wendell Phillips Academy High School football team won the IHSA Class 5A championship with a perfect season (14-0); and

 

WHEREAS, under Coach Troy McAllister, the team continues the time-honored tradition of sportsmanship and integrity; and

 

WHEREAS, the Wildcats are role models for fellow students and the community; and

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the President and the Cook County Board of Commissioners, on behalf of the residents of Cook County, congratulate Wendell Phillips Academy High School football team on their championship; and
