Summary/Notes: Requesting approval of a License Agreement renewal between Water Tower Owner, LLC, a Delaware Limited Liability Company, as Licensor, and County of Cook, a body corporate and politic of the State of Illinois, as Licensee, for approximately 2,100 square feet of space on the mezzanine of the shopping center, known as the Water Tower Place, located at 835 N. Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60611. The use is for Cook County Sheriff’s Office to support the Chicago Police Department in certain areas of Chicago that have been experiencing a surge in crime.
This location has provided a convenient space from which the Cook County Sheriff has established a presence for its sworn staff that supports the Chicago Police Department in certain areas of Chicago. The space supports officers from various departments, including the Community Safety Team; furthermore, it has enabled the expansion of the Data Driven Strategy Team and has facilitated the full-time engagement of the Traumatic Response Team, as well as other CCSO community development personnel.
The Premises is used as a security substation and not as a detention center, booking location, or for any other purpose.
