The Amendment will become effective on June 1, 2021. This amendment will allow firms certified as Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBEs) by the Chicago Minority Supplier Development Council and Women-owned Business Enterprises (WBEs) certified by the Women's Business Development Center to receive MBE or WBE credit when performing on Cook County contracts. This amendment will increase the number of MBE and WBE businesses eligible to participate on Cook County contracts.
