Summary:  
The Department of Transportation and Highways respectfully submits for adoption a resolution appropriating funds for the improvement of Sanders Road from Techny Road to Lake-Cook Road in the Village of Northbrook and unincorporated Northfield Township.  This improvement, as proposed, will consist of full depth patching, milling and resurfacing the existing pavement using hot-mix asphalt materials, and includes drainage additions and adjustments, removal and replacement of deteriorated median, concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement as needed, ADA compliant sidewalk ramps, diamond grinding, traffic signal installation at Lindenwood Lane, landscaping, traffic control and protection, pavement marking, signing, engineering and other necessary highway appurtenances.
This improvement is needed to protect the public investment in the highway system and provide a safe, efficient and sustainable highway.
