Summary: This contract will allow the Department of Transportation and Highways to receive Asphalt Equipment which will be used for the maintenance and repair of Cook County roadways. The new Tow Master, Simex Asphalt Float and Lee Boy Paver will replace our current units which are beyond their useful life. The cost to maintain the current units is extensive. The new Asphalt Equipment will provide safe, reliable, and efficient equipment for the Maintenance Bureau.
The vendor was selected pursuant to a publicly advertised Invitation for Bids (IFB) in accordance with the Cook County Procurement Code. Alta Construction Equipment Illinois LLC was the lowest, responsive and responsible bidder.
