WHEREAS, in 2026, Banner Wholesale Grocers proudly celebrates its 100th Anniversary, marking a century of continuous operation as a family-owned business and one of the Midwest's most respected wholesale grocery distributors; and
WHEREAS, founded in 1926 as a modest dried goods store, Banner Wholesale Grocers has successfully evolved through four generations of family leadership, demonstrating remarkable innovation and an enduring commitment to serving independent grocers and neighborhood businesses; and
WHEREAS, by anticipating market trends and adapting to the evolving needs of retailers and consumers, Banner Wholesale Grocers has demonstrated a longstanding commitment to innovation, growth, and customer service; and
WHEREAS, today, under fourth-generation leadership, Banner Wholesale Grocers manages more than 6,000 stockkeeping units and serves independent grocers across Chicagoland, Indianapolis, Columbus, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Milwaukee, and communities throughout the Midwest, supporting local entrepreneurship and expanding access to products that reflect the communities they serve; and
