PROPOSED RESOLUTION

 

HONORING THE EVANSTON INTERFAITH CLERGY AND LEADERS (EICL)

 

WHEREAS, the Evanston Interfaith Clergy and Leaders (EICL) is a collective of clergy and community faith leaders committed to strengthening unity, compassion, and shared purpose across the diverse religious and spiritual communities of Evanston; and

 

WHEREAS, EICL is open to all clergy and faith leaders, providing an inclusive space dedicated to collaboration, fellowship, and mutual support among those who serve the community in spiritual and moral leadership; and

 

WHEREAS, the members of EICL come together regularly to support one another as colleagues, fostering a network grounded in empathy, shared wisdom, and collective care; and

 

WHEREAS, EICL works to strengthen the well-being of the Evanston community by sharing resources, mobilizing partnerships, and addressing the social, emotional, and spiritual needs of residents across all backgrounds; and

 

WHEREAS, the organization unites diverse voices in the ongoing pursuit of justice, equity, and peace, demonstrating the essential role of interfaith collaboration in building a more compassionate and inclusive society; and

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cook County Board of Commissioners, on behalf of the residents of Cook County and the Office of 13th District Commissioner Josina Morita, does hereby honor and commend the Evanston Interfaith Clergy and Leaders (EICL) for their unwavering dedication to unity, justice, and community well-being; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to EICL in recognition of their invaluable service and leadership within the Evanston community.
