PROPOSED RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION HONORING DR.VICTORIA H. STOCKTON FOR VISIONARY LEADERSHIP AND EDUCATIONAL EXCELLENCE FOR BELLWOOD SCHOOL DISTRICT 88
WHEREAS, Dr. Victoria H. Stockton has demonstrated exceptional leadership and an unwavering commitment to educational excellence through nearly twenty years of dedicated service in the field of education; and
WHEREAS, as Superintendent of Bellwood School District 88, Dr. Stockton has championed innovative and student-centered initiatives that continue to strengthen academic achievement, student engagement, and community connection throughout the district; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Stockton introduced the 2025-2026 district-wide theme, "From Vision to Reality: Inspiration Starts with Us," inspiring students, educators, staff, and families to lead with purpose, passion, collaboration, and a shared commitment to excellence; and
WHEREAS, under Dr. Stockton's visionary leadership, Bellwood School District 88 has expanded STEM learning opportunities, increased Career and Technical Education (CTE) programming at the middle school level, launched sustainability initiatives, and implemented the House System to cultivate belonging, school pride, leadership, and stronger school culture among students and staff; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Stockton's focus on innovation, equity, and personalized learning has created transformative opportunities for students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally while preparing them for success in an ever-changing world; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Stockton was recognized nationally as one of the National School Public Relations Association's 2025 "Superintendents to Watch," a distinguished honor celebrating forward-thinking leadership, strategic communication, and dedication to educational advancement; and
