Summary: Under this agreement, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office will establish, administer and lead a multijurisdictional Task Force and Pilot program. The Cook County Sheriff’s Office will provide coordinated law enforcement efforts across the public transit system under NITA’s jurisdiction and provide recommendations to the NITA Board and the Coordinated Safety Response Council for combating violent and other crime on the Chicago Public Transit System.
NITA shall reimburse the Cook County Sheriff’s Office for reasonable costs incurred in administering the Task Force in an amount of up to $1,500,00.00 and up to $7,500,000.00 for the Pilot Program.
