Summary: The Department of Transportation and Highways respectfully requests the approval of the proposed Contract between Cook County and K-FIVE Construction Corporation/Gallagher Asphalt Corporation JV, Westmont, Illinois.
This contract provides for improvements consisting of milling and resurfacing of asphalt (HMA) roadways, pavement patching, curb and gutter removal and replacements, median removal, construction of sidewalk ramps, roadway culvert and storm sewer cleaning, guardrail improvements, pavement marking updates, and shoulder improvements.
This contract is awarded pursuant to a publicly advertised competitive bidding process in accordance with the Cook County Procurement Code. K-FIVE Construction Corporation/Gallagher Asphalt Corporation JV was the lowest, responsive and responsible bidder.
