PROPOSED RESOLUTION
HANOVER TOWNSHIP HUMAN SERVICES COORDINATOR LORI OROZCO RETIREMENT
WHEREAS, Lori Orozco has been a proud resident of Streamwood since 1994; and
WHEREAS, a devoted wife to her husband Dan, loving mother to four children-Tim, Stephanie, Kimberly, and Anthony-and a cherished grandmother to Emma, Jaxson, and Eleanor, Lori has always placed family and community at the heart of her life; and
WHEREAS, joining Hanover Township in 2004, Lori began her service to the community in her role as Assistant to the Clerk; and
WHEREAS, since 2009, she has served as Hanover Township's Human Services Coordinator; and
WHEREAS, over the years, she has become known for her dedication, compassion, and as a trusted advocate and tireless supporter of residents in need; and
WEHREAS, one of Lori's most notable achievements was becoming one of the first township-accredited Veteran Service Officers in the State of Illinois-a reflection of her deep respect for veterans and commitment to ensuring they receive the services and support they deserve; and
WHEREAS, her service and impact were formally recognized when she received the Excellence in Service Award for Hanover Township in 2013; and
WHEREAS, she has also served as a member of the Streamwood Kiwanis Club since 2010; and
WHEREAS, Lori played a key role in the growth of the Hanover Township Food Pantry, ensuring that individuals and families facing food insecurity received respectful and consistent support; and
WHEREAS, she also was instrumental in developing the auxiliary staff program within Human Services, mentoring and supporting volunteers and interns who have gone on to serve the community in various professional capacities; and
WHEREAS, Lori's empathy and drive to improve the lives of others has left an enduring legacy that will benefit Hanover Township for years to come; and
WHEREAS, after 21 years of dedicated service, Lori will retire on August 29, 2025;
