Ascend Justice’s Order of Protection Clinic and its domestic relations practices represent its longest-standing client services offering. Ascend’s long-term presence in the Cook County Circuit Court Domestic Violence Courthouse allows it to offer emergency legal services, related to orders of protection. Also, teams of volunteers work with staff attorneys to assist clients with brief services, legal advice, and, in some cases, legal representation at the emergency stage of litigation.
