PROPOSED RESOLUTION
CONGRATULATING ARTHUR R. EDENHOFNER ON THE OCCASION OF HIS RETIREMENT FROM COOK COUNTY GOVERNMENT
WHEREAS, Arthur R. Edenhofer has been a loyal employee for Cook County for over 39 Years; and
WHEREAS, After high school, Art Edenhofer Attended Washburne trade school in Chicago. He served a four-year apprenticeship before becoming a union journeyman; and
WHEREAS, Arthur Edenhofer worked on many projects in the private sector before Cook County. He was foreman and layout carpenter working on a state-of-the-art addition on Loyola hospital in Maywood, IL. This included new operating rooms, emergency rooms, and an Intensive Care Unit. Art Edenhofer also worked on the first MRI unit in Chicago at Northwestern University Hospital and he worked on the Physics Building at University of Chicago; and
WHEREAS, Arthur Edenhofer started employment at Cook County Hospital in October of 1985; and
WHEREAS, Arthur Edenhofer was promoted to Carpenter foreman at the Department of Facilities Management in 1991. Arthur worked on day-to-day operations in Facilities Management and many projects; and
WHEREAS, on one project, Art designed the computerized key and locking system for secured facilities; and
WHEREAS, Arthur Edenhofer has two sons he loves to spend time with. He lives in Bartlett IL where he belongs to the Lions Club. With the Lions Club, Art helps with many fund raisers. Lions help the public with hearing and vision in the area. Lions help feed the needy. Lions give several scholarships to students each year.
WHEREAS, Arthur Edenhofer is very proud of his employment at Cook County. Arthur Edenhofer will miss everyone at work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cook County Board of Commissioners does hereby Congratulate Arthur Edenhofer on his retirement and his service to Cook County.
