Summary: The Department of Transportation and Highways respectfully requests approval of the proposed contract between the County and K-Five Construction Corporation, Westmont, Illinois. The contract is for the PPRP South 2021 program. The locations for the program include 167th Street from Will Cook Road to 104th Avenue, Walker Road from South of Apple Avenue to Main Street, and Wolf Road from Harrison Street to St Charles Road. The project scope consists of grinding and overlaying of the existing hot-mix asphalt pavement, curb and gutter replacement, striping, ADA ramp improvements, loop detector replacement and restoration of other appurtenant work as required.
This contract was awarded through a publicly advertised competitive bidding process in accordance with the Cook County Procurement Code. K-Five Construction Corporation was the lowest, responsive and responsible bidder.
