PROPOSED RESOLUTION
HONORING VICTORIA LEE MOODY FOR HER OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE AND LEADERSHIP
WHEREAS, Victoria Lee Moody, is a devoted Wife, Aunt, Sister and Daughter. Her father Richard Rudnick was a lifelong Iron worker who raised his family on a union paycheck. Vicki has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication to public service; and
WHEREAS, as a small business owner, Vicki showcased her entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to her community; and
WHEREAS, through her volunteer efforts, Vicki provided invaluable counseling and mentoring services to numerous troubled women, making a profound impact on their lives; and
WHEREAS, since 2010, Vicki has worked tirelessly in management for the Office of the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court, contributing to the office's efficiency and effectiveness; and
WHEREAS, in April 2017, Vicki made history by becoming the first woman elected to serve as a Township Highway Commissioner in Cook County, breaking down barriers and inspiring future generations of women; and
WHEREAS, Vicki served in the Executive position of Highway Commissioner. She reduced flooding and oversaw the safety and maintenance of all the roads in unincorporated Worth Township; and
WHEREAS, Vicki further solidified her legacy by being reelected to her last term in 2021, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to public service and the trust placed in her by the community; and
WHEREAS, under Vicki's leadership, she secured funding and grants that enabled the resurfacing of a record number of roads, greatly improving infrastructure and enhancing the quality of life for residents; and
WHEREAS, Vicki provided significant tax relief to the residents and businesses of Worth Township by freezing the Township Roads and Bridges tax levy for five years, showcasing her dedication to fiscal responsibility and community well-being;
