Summary: This contract will allow the Department of Transportation and Highways to receive Asphalt Equipment-65HP Self Propelled Concrete Cutting Machines. The new equipment will be used for the maintenance and repair of Cook County roadways. The new concrete cutting machines will replace our current units which are beyond their useful life. The cost to maintain the current units is extensive. The new concrete cutting machines will provide safe, reliable, and efficient equipment for the Maintenance Bureau.
The vendor was selected pursuant to a publicly advertised Invitation for Bids (IFB) in accordance with the Cook County Procurement Code. Schaaf Equipment Company was the lowest, responsive and responsible bidder.
