Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION IN MEMORIAM OF BRENDAN SIDDALL WHEREAS, Brendan David Siddall was born on February 12, 1999; and WHEREAS, Brendan showed remarkable talent and incredible intelligence from a very young age, and began his career in theater in the summer before his 9th grade year playing the titular role in a production of Peter Pan; and WHEREAS, Brendan continued through high school playing in community theater as well as the school's drama club, singing in the school choir, playing the sax in the marching band, and was a Drum Major during his junior and senior year; and WHEREAS, Brendan also ran on his track and cross-country teams whilst maintaining an excellent academic record, taking multiple Advance Placement courses successfully and was chosen as a finalist for the National Merit scholarship; and WHEREAS, Brendan was later accepted at DePaul University with academic scholarships, and fell in love with Chicago immediately; and WHEREAS, he was quickly promo...

IN MEMORIAM OF BRENDAN SIDDALL

WHEREAS, Brendan David Siddall was born on February 12, 1999; and

WHEREAS, Brendan showed remarkable talent and incredible intelligence from a very young age, and began his career in theater in the summer before his 9th grade year playing the titular role in a production of Peter Pan; and

WHEREAS, Brendan continued through high school playing in community theater as well as the school's drama club, singing in the school choir, playing the sax in the marching band, and was a Drum Major during his junior and senior year; and

WHEREAS, Brendan also ran on his track and cross-country teams whilst maintaining an excellent academic record, taking multiple Advance Placement courses successfully and was chosen as a finalist for the National Merit scholarship; and

WHEREAS, Brendan was later accepted at DePaul University with academic scholarships, and fell in love with Chicago immediately; and

WHEREAS, he was quickly promoted to RA of his dorm and took care of his students with grace and kindness; and

WHEREAS, when he was still just a student, he joined with the Chicago Gay Men's Chorus at 18 years old and began to find his people; and

WHEREAS, Brendan was eventually elected president of the Chicago Gay Men's Chorus membership council, and his leadership skills were apparent; and

WHEREAS, Brendan spent the next 7 years in and out of school, working various jobs, until he started his job at Misericordia, an adult living facility for special needs people; and

WHEREAS, Brendan was always strongly passionate about this job, providing care to people that needed him; and

WHEREAS, Brendan was known to all as a welcoming, inclusive, encouraging, and uplifting person who gave his time and attention to all;
