A RESOLUTION HONORING THE LEADERSHIP AND SERVICE OF SUPERVISOR CALVIN JORDAN, NEWLY ELECTED PRESIDENT OF THE TOWNSHIP OFFICIALS OF COOK COUNTY (TOCC)

WHEREAS, the Township Officials of Cook County (TOCC), established in 1966, serves as a cornerstone institution dedicated to enhancing the efficacy of local governance by offering essential educational resources, professional development opportunities, and intergovernmental collaboration for township officials throughout Cook County, Illinois; and

WHEREAS, TOCC's mission remains steadfast in strengthening the administrative capacities of supervisors, clerks, assessors, highway commissioners, and trustees, while fostering innovation and shared best practices across townships; and

WHEREAS, Supervisor Calvin Jordan continues to distinguish himself as a consummate public servant demonstrating exceptional vision, ethical leadership, and an unwavering commitment to community advancement in his dual roles as Supervisor and Democratic Committeeman of Rich Township; and

WHEREAS, with over three decades of impactful experience in executive leadership, civic engagement, and economic development, Supervisor Jordan cultivates and implements transformative initiatives aimed at uplifting underserved populations and catalyzing social progress; and

WHEREAS, the late Cook County Board President John H. Stroger Jr., whose legacy of public service laid a foundation for inclusive policy-making, deeply informed Supervisor Jordan's leadership philosophy and further strengthened by Supervisor Jordan's ongoing collaboration with current Board President Toni Preckwinkle to promote equity-driven, community-responsive governance; and
