Summary: The Department of Transportation and Highways respectfully requests approval of the proposed Intergovernmental Agreement between the County of Cook and the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority. The Tollway will be the lead agency for design engineering, construction and construction engineering to rehabilitate the Sanders Road Bridges over the Tri-State Tollway (I-294) for the County as part of the Tollway’s construction contract for improvements along I-294. The County will reimburse the Tollway for its share of design engineering, construction and construction engineering costs for said improvements.
