PROPOSED RESOLUTION
HONORING THE HUGHES SOCOL PIERS RESNICK & DYM LTD. (HSPRD), ON THEIR 40TH ANNIVERSARY
WHEREAS, founded by Mark Dym in Chicago in 1985, Hughes Socol Piers Resnick & Dym Ltd. (HSPRD) has earned a reputation for excellence, innovation, and influence across civil rights, mass torts, immigration, employment law, and related fields; and
WHEREAS, HSPRD attorneys have achieved more than $1?billion in verdicts and settlements and have handled key cases before the U.S. Supreme Court and other federal and state courts; and
WHEREAS, HSPRD strongly emphasizes sustainability, as evidenced by its receipt of the Chicago Department of Environment's Tenant Achievement Award for its involvement in green office initiatives; and
WHEREAS, HSPRD is dedicated to diversity and inclusion. It provides flexible work hours and supports domestic partners, emphasizing its core belief that diversity fosters innovation and justice; and
WHEREAS, HSPRD upholds a strong social justice mission, regularly participating in civil rights advocacy, celebrating Pride and Juneteenth, and receiving several awards for public interest efforts; and
WHEREAS, HSPRD is involved with many community organizations such as ARISE, Centro Romero, Farmworker Landscape Advocacy Project (FLAP), Federation of Women Contractors, and many more; and
WHEREAS, HSPRD continues to expand, with approximately 40 attorneys and 28 partners, demonstrating a strong focus on litigation and transactional law; and
WHEREAS, HSPRD has earned numerous awards, including the Outstanding Achievement Award from The Washington Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs, as well as the Excellence in Accessibility Advocacy Award from the Illinois Association of the Deaf, among others; and
WHEREAS, HSPRD has celebrated forty years of dedicated law practice, community leadership, and unwavering commitment to justice.
