Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION CONGRATULATING EDDIE L. SIDNEY ON HIS RETIREMENT FROM COOK COUNTY GOVERNMENT WHEREAS, Eddie L. Sidney will retire on December 28, 2018, after spending the last thirty years as a dedicated Cook County employee; and WHEREAS, from 1988-1992, Eddie Sidney worked for the Cook County Highway Department as an Electrical Engineer, and from 1993-2018, he worked at the Cook County Department of Facilities Management in a variety positions, including Storeroom Supervisor and Project Engineer; and WHEREAS, from 2007-2018, Mr. Sidney acted as a Construction Manager and Building Manager for the 2nd busiest courthouse in the nation, affectionately known as 26th and Cal., the George N. Leighton Building. WHEREAS, Eddie Sidney worked with numerous contractors, trades, and engineers to complete a number of projects that would serve as clean, healthy, safe, and viable working spaces for the people of Cook County. CONGRATULATING EDDIE L. SIDNEY ON HIS RETIREMENT FROM COOK COUNTY GOVERNMENT

 

WHEREAS, Eddie L. Sidney will retire on December 28, 2018, after spending the last thirty years as a dedicated Cook County employee; and

 

WHEREAS, from 1988-1992, Eddie Sidney worked for the Cook County Highway Department as an Electrical Engineer, and from 1993-2018, he worked at the Cook County Department of Facilities Management in a variety positions, including Storeroom Supervisor and Project Engineer; and

 

WHEREAS, from 2007-2018, Mr. Sidney acted as a Construction Manager and Building Manager for the 2nd busiest courthouse in the nation, affectionately known as 26th and Cal., the George N. Leighton Building.

 

WHEREAS, Eddie Sidney worked with numerous contractors, trades, and engineers to complete a number of projects that would serve as clean, healthy, safe, and viable working spaces for the people of Cook County.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cook County Board of Commissioners does hereby wish Eddie L. Sidney well in his retirement; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Eddie Sidney as an expression of our appreciation of his service to the County of Cook.
