Request: Authorization to Enter into Interagency Agreement
Good(s) or Service(s): The Justice Advisory Council will transfer $497,858.00 to the Office of the Chief Judge for Housing Services for Emerging Adults. The Circuit Court through the services of a third-party not-for-profit provider will pay the security deposit and monthly rent for 15 emerging adults participating in Restorative Justice Community Courts or adult probation programming.
Agreement period: This Agreement shall become effective as of the date on which it is fully executed by both Parties and remains in effect until terminated by either party, the termination of the JAG award, the termination of appropriation authority or by operation of law.

Summary/Notes: The Justice Advisory Council (JAC) has been awarded the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program. This is a request for approval and authorization for the Justice Advisory Council to enter into an Interagency Agreement with the Cook County Office of the Chief Judge to administer JAG funds for use on programs within Cook County to assist justice involved individuals for the purpose of reducing crime and justice involvement.
This Interagency Agreement has no direct fiscal impact. The JAG Program allows states and units of local government, including tribes, to support a broad range of activities to prevent and control crime based on their own state and local needs and conditions.
