Summary/Notes: The Bureau of Administration Department of Veterans Affairs respectfully submits an interagency agreement with Brookfield Zoo Chicago to host a Military Appreciation Day on 10/17/2026 dedicated to recognizing and honoring the service and sacrifice of active-duty military members, veterans and their families. The purpose of this partnership is to create a welcoming, family-centered community event that expresses gratitude for military service while also connecting veterans and service members to meaningful resources and support systems available throughout Cook County and the surrounding region.
