Summary: The Cook County Sheriff’s Office is requesting authorization for the Office of the Chief Procurement Officer to enter into and execute a contract with Bell Textron Inc. to provide a helicopter airframe, required equipment and law-enforcement specific equipment. The helicopter is to be deployed by the Sheriff’s Office for a variety of mission profiles including incident response and situational awareness, emergency response, and search and rescue operations.
The contract was awarded through a publicly advertised Request for Proposals (RFP) in accordance with the Cook County Procurement Code. Bell Textron Inc. was selected based on established evaluation criteria.
