HONORING THE LIFE AND MEMORY OF RIKKI JONES

 

WHEREAS, Rikki Jones dedicated her life to the relentless pursuit of civil rights and true equality, advocating fervently for marginalized communities; and

 

WHEREAS, Rikki Jones served as an exemplary mentor to countless community leaders and elected officials, sharing her wisdom and passion for justice; and

 

WHEREAS, Rikki Jones exhibited unwavering dedication to the welfare of Chicago's youth, actively collaborating with educational leaders to ensure equitable access to quality education for all children in our city; and

 

WHEREAS, Rikki Jones's profound impact on Cook County and the state of Illinois will endure as a testament to her tireless advocacy and commitment to progress; and

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Cook County Board of Commissioners does hereby recognize the Cook County Democratic Women Organization, comprising dedicated Democratic women across our County, and stands in solemn solidarity to honor the memory and legacy of Rikki Jones; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Rikki Jones as a token of our enduring respect and gratitude for her indelible contributions to our community and her steadfast advocacy for justice and equality.
