Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION PHYLLIS LOPICCOLO, DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Cook County Board of Commissioners that Phyllis LoPiccolo has received the Distinguished Service Award from the Office of Catholic Education, and WHEREAS, few professions touch as many lives as the profession of teaching, and those, like Ms. LoPiccolo, who choose this field as their career are most deserving of our gratitude for the positive influence they have in the classroom and beyond, and WHEREAS, schools are at the heart of our community, and teachers like Phyllis LoPiccolo are deserving of the fullest measure of support and allocation of resources to ensure a bright future for all, and WHEREAS, Phyllis LoPiccolo has taught at St. Barbara School for a 26 years, and during that time she has touched countless young lives and helped prepare the leaders of tomorrow, WHEREAS, thanks to outstanding teachers like Phyllis LoPiccolo, St. Barbara School has continu...

PHYLLIS LOPICCOLO, DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD

WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Cook County Board of Commissioners that Phyllis LoPiccolo has received the Distinguished Service Award from the Office of Catholic Education, and
WHEREAS, few professions touch as many lives as the profession of teaching, and those, like Ms. LoPiccolo, who choose this field as their career are most deserving of our gratitude for the positive influence they have in the classroom and beyond, and
WHEREAS, schools are at the heart of our community, and teachers like Phyllis LoPiccolo are deserving of the fullest measure of support and allocation of resources to ensure a bright future for all, and
WHEREAS, Phyllis LoPiccolo has taught at St. Barbara School for a 26 years, and during that time she has touched countless young lives and helped prepare the leaders of tomorrow,

WHEREAS, thanks to outstanding teachers like Phyllis LoPiccolo, St. Barbara School has continued to grow and serve the needs of the community, and has continued to build upon the traditions of family, education and Catholic leadership that have been so important to the parish and the neighborhood of Bridgeport, and all of Chicago, and

WHEREAS, Phyllis LoPiccolo received her award on February 23, 2014, by Bishop Frances Kane and Sister Mary Paul McCaughey, Superintendent of Catholic Schools, and

WHEREAS, all the members of the parish community, and especially her fourth grade students, are proud of this recognition and tribute to Phyllis LoPiccolo, an outstanding educator and role mode.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of Cook County that the Board does hereby extend its congratulations to Ms. Phyllis LoPiccolo for this great honor, and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this text be spread upon the official proceedings of this Honorable Body, and an official copy of same be presented to Ms. Phyllis LoPiccolo, to commemorate this occ...
