Summary:  The Cook County Sheriff’s Office is requesting authorization for the Chief Procurement Officer to enter into and execute a contract with Safeware Inc., to provide a Video Analytics Platform. This software suite will allow the Sheriff’s Office to utilize video intelligence to detect various types of potential security breaches throughout the Department of Corrections.

 

This is a Comparable Government Procurement pursuant Section 34-140 of the Procurement Code. Safeware was previously awarded a contract through a Request for Proposal process through the National Association of Counties (NACo), a national government purchasing cooperative in cooperation with Cobb County, Georgia. Cook County wishes to leverage this procurement effort.
