Summary: The Department of Transportation and Highways respectfully requests approval of the proposed Maintenance Agreement between Cook County and the Village of Palatine. The County will be the lead agency for construction and construction engineering for a new sidewalk at the intersection of Quentin Road and Euclid Avenue, including the northwest quadrant of the intersection, within the Village at County’s expense. The sidewalk shall extend northwest to southeast between the southbound-to-westbound right-turn lane of Quentin Road and the mainline of Euclid Avenue. Upon completion of the project, the Village shall assume ownership, operation and maintenance of the sidewalk constructed as part of the project under Cook County Section: 24-PRPN1-02-PV.
