PROPOSED RESOLUTION
A RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING BEVERLY ROMANOFF FOR 17 YEARS OF SERVICE AS VILLAGE OF HOFFMAN ESTATES VILLAGE CLERK
WHEREAS, Beverly “Bev” Romanoff was appointed to the position of Village Clerk of the Village of Hoffman Estates on September 1, 2007; and
WHEREAS, Romanoff was elected Village Clerk by the citizens of Hoffman Estates a total of four times, serving for a total of 17 years; and
WHEREAS, during her tenure as Village Clerk, Romanoff made significant improvements to her office, including spearheading the implementation of an electronic records management system; and
WHEREAS, in her service to the Village, Romanoff demonstrated great knowledge and devotion to the responsibilities of Village Clerk; finding creative solutions to difficult problems while being polite, courteous, and collegial to her colleagues, members of the public, and the Hoffman Estates business community; and
WHEREAS, Romanoff is respected and appreciated by the Village employees, whom Bev knew by name, enjoyed serving at employee appreciation meals, and advocated for them when she felt necessary; and
WHEREAS, Romanoff is appreciated by the Mayor, Village Board, and all who worked with her for her excellent attention to detail, positive approach, and dedication to keeping the best interest of the community in mind; and
WHEREAS, Village Clerk Romanoff retired on June 28, 2024, from the Village of Hoffman Estates;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners does herby offer it’s congratulations to Bev Romanoff on her retirement from the position of Village Clerk for the Village of Hoffman Estates; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this text be spread upon official proceedings of this Honorable Body; and its suitable copies be tendered to Village Clerk Bev Romanoff as she enjoys every single one of her days of retirement.
