Gift of Hope is a federally designated Organ Procurement Organization ("OPO"), is a member of the Organ Procurement Transplant Network ("OPTN"), is accredited by the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations ("AOPO") and is a tissue bank accredited by the American Association of Tissue Banks ("AATB"). The Gift of Hope requires deceased donors to support its organ and tissue procurement operations. Potential organ and tissue donors fall under the jurisdiction of the Cook County Medical Examiner ("CCME").
