Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION IN MEMORY OF JOHN J. WOJCIK WHEREAS, John J. Wojcik was the beloved husband of Emma, loving father of Charlene (Michael) and John (late Micha Ahn), cherished papa of Me Cha (Tim), Brittany, Ashley and Mallory, dear uncle to many and a friend to all; and WHEREAS, John J. Wojcik was born in Chicago on August 16, 1914 to Albert and Anna Wojcik; and WHEREAS, John J. Wojcik was one of seven children, having had four brothers and two sisters, one of which was his twin sister; and WHEREAS, John J. Wojcik married Emma Fruhwirth, the love of his life, on May 13th, 1945; they welcomed their children, the twins John James (2lbs) and Charlene Ann (3 lbs) into the world on October 5, 1951 at Hinsdale Hospital; and WHEREAS, John J. Wojcik was drafted into the U. S. Navy although he was never called to serve as the war ended briefly after with the bombing of Hiroshima; and WHEREAS, John J. IN MEMORY OF JOHN J. WOJCIK

WHEREAS, John J. Wojcik was the beloved husband of Emma, loving father of Charlene (Michael) and John (late Micha Ahn), cherished papa of Me Cha (Tim), Brittany, Ashley and Mallory, dear uncle to many and a friend to all; and

WHEREAS, John J. Wojcik was born in Chicago on August 16, 1914 to Albert and Anna Wojcik; and

WHEREAS, John J. Wojcik was one of seven children, having had four brothers and two sisters, one of which was his twin sister; and

WHEREAS, John J. Wojcik married Emma Fruhwirth, the love of his life, on May 13th, 1945; they welcomed their children, the twins John James (2lbs) and Charlene Ann (3 lbs) into the world on October 5, 1951 at Hinsdale Hospital; and

WHEREAS, John J. Wojcik was drafted into the U. S. Navy although he was never called to serve as the war ended briefly after with the bombing of Hiroshima; and

WHEREAS, John J. Wojcik had a love and gift for music; as a young man he played the accordion through the years for church activities, as well as in the alleys of Chicago on Sunday mornings during church collections; and

WHEREAS, John J. Wojcik reached a remarkable milestone in his life on the joyous occasion of his 100th birthday on August 16, 2014 which he celebrated with his family; and

WHEREAS, John J. Wojcik was a man of faith and a fervent evangelist; he signed many people up for Bible studies and did his best to spread the Word wherever he went; and

WHEREAS, John J. Wojcik was a compassionate individual whose exemplary life and commitment to his faith, his family and his community are an inspiration to us all; and

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners of Cook County does hereby express its deep sorrow at the death of John J. Wojcik, and offers its heartfelt sympathy to his family in their hour of sorrow and joins his family in honoring his memory; and
