Title: PROPOSED RESOLUTION A RESOLUTION OF THE COOK COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS HONORING THE LIFE OF MRS. DOROTHY D. SCHNADIG WHEREAS, Almighty God in His infinite wisdom called Dorothy D. Schnadig from our midst on March 23rd at the age of 104 years old; and WHEREAS, Dorothy D. Schnadig was a native Chicagoan who grew up in Hyde Park and attended the University of Chicago; and WHEREAS, Dorothy D. Schnadig was an ardent supporter of numerous social service and community-based organizations, including the Chicago Lighthouse and SGA Youth and Family Services, and was a long-time volunteer at Highland Park Hospital; and WHEREAS, Dorothy D. Schnadig was a champion of progressive causes pertaining to civil rights, education, employment and the environment; and WHEREAS, Dorothy D. Schnadig was happily married to the late Lawrence Schnadig for 51 years and was the mother of prominent Chicago labor attorney Richard Schnadig, as well as two other children; and WHEREAS, ...

A RESOLUTION OF THE COOK COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS HONORING THE LIFE OF MRS. DOROTHY D. SCHNADIG
WHEREAS, Almighty God in His infinite wisdom called Dorothy D. Schnadig from our midst on March 23rd at the age of 104 years old; and
 
WHEREAS, Dorothy D. Schnadig was a native Chicagoan who grew up in Hyde Park and attended the University of Chicago; and
 
WHEREAS, Dorothy D. Schnadig was an ardent supporter of numerous social service and community-based organizations, including the Chicago Lighthouse and SGA Youth and Family Services, and was a long-time volunteer at Highland Park Hospital; and
 
WHEREAS, Dorothy D. Schnadig was a champion of progressive causes pertaining to civil rights, education, employment and the environment; and
WHEREAS, Dorothy D. Schnadig was happily married to the late Lawrence Schnadig for 51 years and was the mother of prominent Chicago labor attorney Richard Schnadig, as well as two other children; and
WHEREAS, Dorothy D. Schnadig was a proud grandmother to 10 grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to 21 great-grandchildren;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the President and the Cook County Board of Commissioners extend their deepest sympathies to the family of Mrs. Dorothy D. Schnadig; and,
 
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the President and the Cook County Board of Commissioners extend their gratitude to Mrs. Dorothy D. Schnadig for her immeasurable contributions to Cook County through her exemplary life of service.
