PROPOSED RESOLUTION
PATRICK SHANNON, IN MEMORIAM
WHEREAS, Almighty God in His infinite wisdom has called Patrick Shannon from our midst; and
WHEREAS, Patrick Shannon was the beloved husband of the late Evelyn (nee Ryan); and
WHEREAS, Patrick Shannon was the amazing and loving father of Peter (Mary Ann), Ellen (Dr. Paul) Seifert, Patrick Jr. (Christine), Michael (Helen), Kevin (the late Louise), Eileen, and Erin; and
WHEREAS, Patrick Shannon was the loving grandfather of Heather and Peter (Kelly) Shannon, Patrick (Katie), and Chris (Sarah) Wagoner, Courtney (James) Rohde, Kevin, Daniel, (Neena Deb-Sen), and John Seifert, Patrick III (Julie), David (Michelle), the late Jennifer, Amanda, and Colleen Shannon, Orlando Shannon, Caileen, Cara, and Maura Coleman; and
WHEREAS, Patrick Shannon was the great papa of Grace Kelly and Daniel Patrick Shannon, the late Nolan Shannon, Maddie and Claire Wagoner, Vivian Ryan and Elliot Patrick Rohde; and
WHEREAS, Patrick Shannon was the dear brother of the late Peter Jr. (Anne), the late Mary Ann, Donna (Jack) Mulchrone, Dan (Kitty), the late Sheilamae (Tim) O’Hara and the late Brian and Sue Shannon; and
WHEREAS, Patrick Shannon was the loving son of the late Peter and Marian (nee Burke) Shannon; and
WHEREAS, Patrick Shannon was the fond cousin of Claire O’Keefe Hank; and
WHEREAS, Patrick Shannon was the fabulous uncle of many nieces and nephews and kind friend to many; and
WHEREAS, Patrick Shannon touched the lives of many and will be remembered by all who knew him; and
WHEREAS, all who knew him will attest that Patrick Shannon was a kind and compassionate man, virtuous of character and gentle in spirit, admired and respected by his many friends and neighbors, and dearly loved by his family; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of Commissioners of Cook County that the Board does hereby offer its deepest condolences and most heartfelt sympathy to the family of Patrick Shannon, and joins them in sorrow at this time of loss; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that this text be spread upon the official proceedings of this Honorable Body, and a suitable copy of the same be tendered to the family of Patrick Shannon so that his memory may be so honored and ever cherished.end
