PROPOSED RESOLUTION
IN RECOGNITION OF THE LAUNCH OF LE MEDAILLON
WHEREAS, On November 8, 2015, Chicago-based Company DLUX Brand launched Le Medallion, an authentic grower champagne produced in Celles-Sur-Ource, Champagne, France; and
WHEREAS, Since 1788, Le Medaillon’s old-world winemaking techniques have been perfected by the wine’s exclusive producer, the House of Cheurlin, producing distinctive champagne. Le Medaillon grows each grape from their vines and bottles; and
WHEREAS, Le Medaillon is handcrafted by 10th generation winemakers in Celles-Sur-Ource, France; and
WHEREAS, Le Medaillion offers a Brut and Brut Rose, as well as a limited production Cuvee Reserve which earlier this year was named the Winner of the 2015 Gold Medal for Champagne at the San Francisco International Wine Competition; and
WHEREAS, the entire winemaking process is controlled by Le Medaillion from vine to bottle; the champagne is aged for 30 months; and
WHEREAS, Le Medallion’s owner, DLUX Brand was founded by Chicago inventor and entrepreneur Jay Dhillion who also founded numerous businesses including Unlimited CD a pioneer of the CD Marking Industry and CD Business Cards.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the President and the Cook County Board of Commissioners, on the behalf of the residents of Cook County, do hereby congratulate Jay Dhillon of DLUX Brand on the launch of Le Medallion Champagne in the County of Cook and wishes him continued success in all of his business ventures; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Jay Dhillion of DLUX Brand and suitable copy of the same be tendered to this auspicious body.
